Recently I started thinking about possible summer 2017 vacation plans. My favorite trips have been cycling in Europe, staying in grand villas and hotels, eating fabulous food and enjoying amazing scenery. However, this year I decided to do something entirely different. I’ve agreed to participate in the Pennsylvania Perimeter Ride Against Cancer (PPRAC), a six day, 520 mile ride (two days are 100 miles+) starting in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, across the Green Mountains of Vermont and Catskills of New York, then south over Pennsylvania hills to finish in Palmerton.
PRAC was organized in 1983 and has raised over $1,600,000 for cancer research and treatment. PPRAC is all about raising money to fight cancer. All of our accommodations (sleeping on gym floors) and meals (church provided breakfasts and dinners) are donated, with all money raised going to The American Cancer Society and Dream Come True. Our goal with this ride is to help the American Cancer Society save lives by helping people stay well and get well by finding cures and fighting back.
I’ve personally committed to matching up to $5,000 in personal donations (approximately the cost of a European cycling trip) and I hope you’ll make me match every penny by supporting me with a contribution. To make a donation you can either visit my personal fundraising web page (http://main.acsevents.org/goto/patcorpora) or send a check, payable to American Cancer Society, to me at the address below and I’ll get it processed in your name. Of course, your donation is 100% tax deductible in the current tax year. Please support me by visiting my web page (http://main.acsevents.org/goto/patcorpora) or mail me a check so we can save lives and create a world with less cancer.
